4 Signs That Your Crush Is Losing Interest!

4 Signs your crush is losing interest

We’ve all been there! You think things are going swimmingly with a sexy new crush, but then, seemingly out of the blue, your potential love-interest’s behavior changes dramatically. Sweet texts and regular dates turn into days of silence and tentative hangouts. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could read the tell-tale signs to gauge your crush’s level of interest sooner rather than later? Here are 4 potential indicators that a love-interest might be losing interest…

1. Your crush is less enthusiastic

Does your love-interest seem less excited to see you? Though everyone shows their enthusiasm in different ways, it’s important to pay attention to what normal enthusiasm is for your love-interest. It should be an exciting treat for you and your love-interest to spend time together, not a routine obligation. If you’re both not looking forward to seeing each other and not getting something positive out of your time together, it might be time to make yourselves available for someone who does give you butterflies.

2. Your crush plans or accepts less dates

Have your dates gone from 2-3 times a week to a few times a month? Are you generally not seeing your crush as much as you did when you first started seeing each other? In the early months of dating, your love-interest should want to hang out with you on a regular basis. If you’ve noticed that your love-interest has stopped making plans with you or accepts less date invites from you, that could be a sign that your crush could be losing interest or shifting their dating priorities. Yes, everyone’s busy, but a dramatic shift in quality time could indicate a shift in interest.

3. Your crush starts criticizing you

Especially in the beginning stages of dating, if someone new has a critical opinion about your appearance or actions, it’s a sign that they aren’t accepting the real you. Besides it being rude, it can be bullying and possibly even abusive depending on the critique or insult. Your crush should be choosing to spend time with you because they like who you are and what you’re bringing to the table. If you are trying to change each other, what’s the point of dating each other in the first place?

4. Your crush is longer interested sexually

This is a huge sign! If your crush loses interest in showing affection, making out, makes excuses not to be intimate with you, or generally seems to no longer be enjoying sexy times with you when they did before, this shift in physical interest could be an indicator that things are cooling off. Try initiating affection and if your advances not welcomed or are denied completely, it might be time to have a conversation and possibly reevaluate.

Sometimes a new relationship with a lot of potential can end sooner than expected. Yes it sucks, but why would you want to date someone who is only partially interested in you because they are interested in someone else, they’ve changed their mind about dating you or are too busy to see you. This lukewarm behavior is a blessing in disguise! It’s up to you to make a move if you’re not okay with your crush’s waning interest. You deserve better so make room for Mr. or Miss Better to come along!
